Shandong Alva Machinery Group’s One-to-Two Log Peeling Production Line Completes All Trial Inspections And Enters Packing And Shipping Stage

August 2026 – Shandong Alva Machinery Group Co., Ltd. has completed the entire trial inspection process for a one-to-two log peeling production line ordered by a European customer. After multiple rounds of testing and verification, all equipment has met the required delivery standards. All machines on this production line have now been packed and are in the final stage of container loading and shipment preparation.

I. Project Overview and Equipment Configuration

The one-to-two log peeling production line scheduled for shipment to Europe is a customised complete set of equipment developed by Alva Machinery based on the European customer’s production requirements and technical specifications. The production line adopts a one-to-two overall layout, meaning that one log sawing machine serves as the front-end log pre-treatment unit, cutting logs to specified lengths. Two end-trimming saws then square off both ends of the cut logs. A rounding machine processes the trimmed log sections into uniform cylindrical blanks, which are then fed to two veneer peeling lathes for peeling. The two peeling lathes undertake different tasks: one is used for peeling full-size log veneer, while the other is specifically dedicated to peeling small wood strips.

The equipment configuration of this production line demonstrates Alva Machinery’s capability in integrating complete log processing systems. From log sawing, end squaring, and rounding to veneer peeling, each process step is linked through rational equipment arrangement and material flow, forming a complete processing chain. One sawing machine performs fixed-length cutting; two end-trimming saws simultaneously square both ends to ensure that the logs entering the rounding machine have clean and even ends. The rounding machine converts the prepared logs into regular cylindrical shapes, providing uniform blanks for subsequent peeling. Two peeling lathes operate in parallel, processing different raw material sizes respectively, enabling the production line to produce both standard veneer and small strip veneer simultaneously, thus improving equipment utilisation and production flexibility.

II. Trial Inspection Procedure

The trial inspection for this one-to-two log peeling production line was carried out in stages according to Alva Machinery’s established quality control system. The entire inspection process covered four phases: static inspection after assembly completion, no-load running tests, load trial runs, and full-line synchronised operation testing.

During the static inspection phase, the technical team conducted comprehensive checks on the main structure, key components, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and control systems of each machine on the line. Inspections included structural integrity, component installation precision, fastener torque, electrical wiring connections, hydraulic line sealing, and response status of all control modules. Each inspection was performed in accordance with Alva Machinery’s internal technical standards, and records were kept for future reference.

In the no-load running test phase, each machine was started and operated without load to verify the smooth operation of drive systems, rotating parts, feeding mechanisms, conveying devices, and other moving components. Parameters such as noise, vibration, and temperature were also monitored. The technical team recorded and analysed operating data for each machine, confirming that all machines performed normally under no-load conditions.

The load trial run phase was the core of the inspection process. The technical team selected actual wood raw materials and ran the entire production line according to the designed processing flow, starting from sawing machine feeding, through end-trimming, rounding, and final peeling. During these load trials, the technical team thoroughly verified the processing capacity, accuracy, operational stability, and process continuity of each machine. Key inspection points included the sawing machine’s cut-end flatness, the end-trimming saws’ squaring performance, the rounding machine’s roundness control accuracy, and the two peeling lathes’ veneer thickness uniformity and surface quality.

The full-line synchronised operation test was the final phase of the trial inspection. In this stage, all machines on the production line were run together under simulated production conditions to verify material transfer connections, rhythm matching, and collaborative performance among the equipment. The technical team comprehensively assessed the continuity, stability, and processing consistency of the entire line.

III. Inspection Results and Confirmation

Following the above multi-stage trial inspections, Alva Machinery’s technical team confirmed that all equipment in the one-to-two log peeling production line met the design technical standards and delivery requirements. Inspection records indicated that no abnormalities occurred during the static inspection, no-load running, load trials, or synchronised operation phases. Processing accuracy and operational stability met all specifications set forth in the customer’s technical requirements.

The sawing machine maintained stable cutting performance during load trials, producing neat cut ends with good dimensional consistency. The two end-trimming saws squared the log ends effectively, providing flat surfaces that met the feeding requirements for the subsequent rounding process. The rounding machine processed the prepared logs into uniform cylindrical blanks with even roundness and surface quality suitable for peeling. The two peeling lathes successfully produced both full-size veneer and small strip veneer during load operation, with uniform thickness and smooth surfaces, and no significant processing defects were observed.

The full-line synchronised operation test demonstrated smooth material transfer between machines, well-matched processing rhythms, and consistent processing capability and product quality during continuous operation.

IV. Equipment Packing Operations

After completion of all trial inspections, Alva Machinery’s production department began packing the production line equipment according to export packaging standards. The packing work strictly followed Alva’s export packaging specifications, with customised packaging plans for each machine based on its structural characteristics and transport requirements.

The sawing machine, being one of the larger units on the line, was secured on steel frames with rust-preventive treatment and movement restraints applied to critical moving parts to prevent displacement or collision during long-distance sea transport. The two end-trimming saws were packed individually, with electrical control cabinets and operator panels given moisture-proof and shock-proof packaging. The rounding machine’s roller assemblies and drive systems were cleaned and rust-protected before packing, and the main body was enclosed in wooden crates with cushioning materials to reduce vibration impacts during transit.

The two peeling lathes, as core equipment on the production line, received particularly careful packing. For each lathe, the main frame, tool carriage, rollers, electrical system, and control system were separately packed according to export standards. The main frames were packed with a combination of steel frames and wooden crates; the tool carriages and rollers were cleaned and protected before packing; and electrical components and control systems received moisture-proof and dust-proof packaging. All packing materials complied with international sea freight standards to withstand the effects of humidity, salt spray, and vibration during ocean transport.

During the packing process, the technical team inspected and recorded the packaging condition of each machine item by item, ensuring that all protective measures were properly applied, fixtures were secure, and labels were clearly marked. After packing was completed, all equipment from the production line was sorted and staged according to the loading plan, awaiting container loading.

V. Container Loading and Shipment Preparation

At present, all equipment for this one-to-two log peeling production line has been packed and is ready for container loading. Alva Machinery’s logistics department has prepared a detailed loading plan based on the equipment quantity and package dimensions, specifying the number of containers required and the stowage arrangement. The loading operation will follow the principle of loading larger and heavier items first to ensure efficient space utilisation and secure fixing of equipment inside the containers.

Prior to the start of loading, the logistics department has completed all documentation required for export customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, export licences, and other relevant documents. At the same time, Alva Machinery is maintaining close communication with the European customer to update them on shipment progress and estimated arrival times, facilitating the customer’s preparation for receiving and installation.

Upon arrival at the European customer’s site, Alva Machinery will dispatch technical engineers as contractually agreed to provide on-site installation guidance, commissioning, and operator training, ensuring a smooth start-up of the production line.
